Notary Service Agreement

By booking an appointment with PillarPoint Notary Services, you agree to the following terms.

  1. Fees — Notarial acts are billed at the statutory rate of $10.00 per notarial act/seal, per Florida law. Witness services are $20.00 per person for in-person signings ($25.00 per person for remote online witnessing, coming soon). A $5.00 convenience fee applies to online notarization (RON) appointments only. Mobile travel fees apply based on distance and are disclosed at booking. After-hours, weekend, and holiday appointments carry a $25.00 premium.

  2. Deposit — A $25.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment at the time of booking. This deposit is credited toward your total balance due.

  3. Accepted Payment Methods — The deposit must be paid by credit/debit card at the time of booking. The remaining balance may be paid by credit/debit card or cash at the time of service.

  4. Cancellations & No-Shows — If you cancel or fail to appear for your appointment, the $25.00 deposit is forfeited and non-refundable. Rescheduling is welcome with reasonable notice at no additional charge, subject to availability.

  5. Weather & Safety — PillarPoint reserves the right to reschedule or adjust the appointment time if weather conditions (severe storms, lightning, hurricane warnings, flooding, extreme heat, or other unsafe conditions) pose a safety risk to the notary or client. Clients will be notified as soon as possible and offered a new date or time at no additional charge.

  6. Wait-Time Fee — A grace period of 10 minutes is provided at the scheduled appointment time. After that, a wait-time fee of $10.00 per additional 15 minutes applies.

  7. Rush Fee — Appointments requested with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a rush fee of a minimum of $25.00, subject to availability. Fees for very short-notice requests may be higher, disclosed prior to booking.

  8. Parking Fee — If metered or paid parking is required at the appointment location, the actual cost is passed through to the client with no markup.

  9. Client Conduct — PillarPoint Notary Services maintains a zero-tolerance policy for disrespectful, discriminatory, harassing, or threatening conduct, including racism, directed at our notary or staff. If an appointment is refused or terminated for this reason, or due to an unsafe environment, the deposit and any fees paid are forfeited and non-refundable.

  10. Disclosure — All fees are disclosed in writing prior to service, in accordance with Florida notary law. Notarial act fees are capped by statute; travel, convenience, wait-time, rush, and parking fees are separate non-notarial service fees.

By booking, you agree to the PillarPoint Notary Service Agreement, including our deposit, cancellation, and conduct policies.
